The Halet Aviator takes its shape from the A-2 flight jacket worn by American pilots before the war. The body is full-grain leather, finished with a shearling collar that traps heat when the temperature drops. Zip closure at the front, flap pockets across the chest and a sleeve pocket on the arm. The hem sits on elastic, drawing the jacket in at the waist. Seams are stitched twice, and the leather takes on its own patina over the years.

Inside, the lining is printed with an aviation chart, drawn from the silk escape maps aircrew once sewed into their kit.
